Trauma Therapy

Speak to us
We provide one-to-one trauma therapy to children and adults who have experienced trauma or have developed post-traumatic stress disorder and are finding it difficult to cope with day-to-day life activities such as work, studying, and maintaining relationships.
PTSD can have a significant impact on one’s life. One may start to notice that the symptoms develop during the first month of the traumatic incident, however, at times, symptoms may not always develop for months or even years following the traumatic incident.
Trauma therapy is divided into 3 main phases;-
PHASE 1 – This involves initial assessment, (gathering information and understanding the client’s personal history), providing psychoeducation (which will assist in normalizing the client’s experiences) and safety and stabilization strategies (which allows the client to gain a sense of mastery of thier body and emotions.
PHASE 2 – This involves the trauma process itself using the recommended treatment plan
PHASE 3 – This inloves working with the client to reintegrate themselves back into their previous routines and lifestyles, feeling confident to make those changes they so wish to.
