Children and Young People

Your Space to Shine, Learn And Grow
We work with families of neurotypical children who may be struggling with various challenges e.g. disengaging from school, difficult friendships, challenging behaviours, low mood, and anxiety etc.
We provide that initial safe space for children and young people to voice out their worries and promote their emotional and mental well-being. Many black children and young people can find it difficult to share their worries with their families for fear of being dismissed or misunderstood because of the difference in parenting styles, cultural beliefs and practices, and geographical locations.
We bridge the gaps between parents and their children by helping them acknowledge and appreciate each other’s difficulties and work with them to be on the same page to enable the children and young people to seek appropriate help and support.
We also create awareness of and promote the knowledge of mental health challenges including trauma that affect children and young people. Mental health is a subject area that is not talked about or embraced much within black communities. Hence, our work provides the platform to have these initial conversations within families and signpost them to the appropriate services.
